This IPL season is going to be a test of character for a few players who have bagged record prices at the auction. It would be a tough task for them as the expectations will be high to come good for their teams.  Here are a couple of players who need to prove their auction price this season. 1) Glenn Maxwell - Kings XI Punjab – Rs 10.75 crore – Base Price Rs 2 crore Glenn Maxwell (Image Credits: CricketAddictor) Maxwell played 4 seasons for Kings XI Punjab before poor form saw him being released from the squad. Delhi Capitals lapped him up in 2018 IPL, but he was released again. Delhi wanted to buy back Maxwell again for 2020 season, but saw KXIP making fierce bidding for him, and eventually getting him for Rs 10.75 crore, more than 5 times the base price. KXIP has gambled on Maxwell again, hoping he will come good. But in the ongoing England-West Indies Tests series he hasn't quite got into his rhythm. After the first two Tests, Shai Hope has just managed 57 runs from four innings:–25, 7, 16 and 9 and averages only 14.25.  His highest score since Headingley heroics in the Windies whites has been a modest 67 and it came against Bangladesh nearly two years ago. In this period, he has averaged a dismal 23.08 in the Test format with a paltry aggregate of 808 runs in 37 innings. There has never been any doubt about Hope’s talent and potential as a batsman. It all started when a 46 years old black Afro American named George Floyd was killed by a policemen in Minneapolis, Minnesota(USA). On May 25, 2020 George Floyd was caught for using a fake currency note in a shop, some 4-5 white policemen laid him down on the streets and then one of them put his knee on George's neck for 9 minutes and because of that George was not able to breathe and ultimately he died as shown in the picture below:                        credit: CTV news The picture and the case got viral throughout the world .
